Alert: Stolen Race Wheels & Tires!
On the night of January 30, 2017, SWMS Member, Walt Hollowell's storage locker was broken into, and three (3) full mounted sets of Panasport racing wheels were stolen. That is eight (8) wheels with Hoosier R6 road racing tires and one (1) set of four wheels with new rain tires. The wheel size is 15X7, 4-bolt pattern with 114.3mm spacing. They were used on his 1970 Triumph TR6 but they will also fit Datsun 240 and other Z cars. The tires could be used on a Miata, but the 4-bolt spacing won't work on a Miata. He can identify these wheels. He has not taken a complete inventory of what else might be missing.
The following is a picture of some of the stolen wheels and tires.
SouthWest MotorSport is a non-profit organization dedicated to recreational Road-Racing based in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Originally formed as an outlet for Vintage and Gt racers, SWMS welcomes everyone who has an interest in recreational Road-Racing and karting.
SWMS has a Class for all Cars!
SouthWest MotorSport Welcomes Enthusiasts at All Levels
Though originally formed as a group for "racers," SWMS also runs a high-performance driving school for those interested in learning better driving skills and for those interested in working their way toward a competition license.
During our event weekends we also host "lapping" sessions for those qualified drivers who have successfully completed our driving school and would like to drive their cars at speed in a safe environment.
If you have any questions about joining our organization, would like to participate in one of our events at any level, or are just a fan of racing, look around our site for more info or feel free to contact our officers with any questions you may have.
We look forward to meeting you and seeing you at one of our events soon!
