SouthWest MotorSport Non-Competitive Lapping

SouthWest MotorSport offers a couple of options for those who are interested in taking their sport-driving activity a step further, but either aren't ready for a fully competitive racing situation or don't yet have a car technically suited for racing with all the necessary weight-saving, full roll-cage, or fuel cell needed for wheel to wheel racing.
Stage 1: Lunchtime Touring
For a $20 fee you can bring your car out to the event and in a speed-controlled session behind a lead car for approximately 20 minutes. This is a great way to see if you like the on-track experience and to get your feet wet gradually.
Stage 2: On-Track Lapping Sessions
Once you have successfully graduated from our High Performance Driving School, you will be eligible for weekend lapping sessions without an instructor. You will be on-track with several other drivers with similar qualifications and are allowed to drive your vehicle with its and your performance parameters.
This is not a racing experience. Passing is allowed only on the straights and with the signalled permission of the driver being passed. Though we do not require competition harnesses, or fire-suits, your car must be "teched" and you must wear a Snell Foundation approved helmet.
This is a great way to get your feet wet, learn more about your driving and your car, find your personal and budgetary limitations, become comfortable with the on-track situation and meet a lot of great people with your same interests.
Whichever level of participation you choose, come on out and join us for the fun.
