SWMS: 2026 Season Information and Updates

Happy New Year! SWMS is pleased to share a few announcements and updates for the 2026 racing season! Similar to 2025, in 2026 SWMS entries are invited to participate within the Super Cup events at our favorite home track, Suika Circuit. Over the last few months, the SWMS Board has been busy preparing for the 2026 season. There are a few bits of safety information, based on national SCCA and VMC updates. We are happy to share that we believe the 2026 season brings an excellent balance to safety, ease of entry, membership, and racing.

Based on popular demand and helpful feedback from 2025, you will see a return to dedicated road racing 2-day race weekends, with plenty of time for catching up and wandering around the paddock Saturday evenings. Additionally, you will see a more focused set of road racing dates, specially selected to mesh better with RMVR and also avoiding peak summer heat.

On behalf of all of us on the SWMS Board, I am excited for road racing in 2026 and feel that this season is shaping up to have big energy, fun, and participation. Our goal is to help make it as easy as possible to get out and race! If you are a SWMS regular, someone considering a move to full road racing, or maybe you haven't been out in a bit but miss the thrill of racing, I hope to see everyone at a race weekend soon!
